Molly is a professional singer who has performed widely in the Denver metro area for 20 years. She has sung with bands ranging in style from punk to jazz to metal to opera to bluegrass. She has sung with varied organizations such as Fort Collins Opera, Impact Dance Company, Five Points Jazz Fest, Opera on Tap, Down in Denver Fest and Titwrench Festival Denver. She once owned a record store, winning a Westword Best of Denver award. Molly loves writing music, messing around with synthesizers, camping, gardening and teaching singing
As a teacher, Molly believes that anyone can sing, it’s just a matter of finding your unique voice. She will cater the lesson to suit your needs and help you achieve your personal goals. She teaches strong vocal technique so that you can manage and control your voice. Once you have a solid foundation to work from you will feel empowered to use your voice with the songs you love to sing. Molly is an especially supportive and encouraging teacher who works with students of all ages and levels. She is happy to help students with all vocal styles including pop, jazz, rock, music theater, folk, country and Classical. As an experienced performer and multi-instrumentalist she is well equipped to work with songwriters and professional musicians. Molly is also a great teacher for kids, beginners and unconventional artists.
Molly is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Jazz Education Network and the Women’s Audio Mission. She is currently working on her Master’s in Vocal Pedagogy through Rider University. She has completed all levels of the Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University. Molly is an adjunct professor at the Community College of Denver, teaching private voice lessons and ensembles. She formerly taught at Swallow Hill Music Association for over 10 years.
